Tropical Storm Hanna, on track to make landfall in the Carolinas Friday or Saturday, has county and regional emergency personnel preparing in case a deluge hits Edgecombe County.

The Twin Counties will begin to feel the effects of Tropical Storm Hanna as early as Friday afternoon.

Nash County emergency services officials said Wednesday they were coordinating with state and local agencies to prepare for Hanna's arrival.
